Frosts are Slain and Flowers Begotten is an original etching by Jo Barry. Wildflowers bloom in a grassy meadow. Like many of Barry’s etchings, this work was inspired by the New Forest in England, which was once a royal hunting ground for William the Conquerer. Her labor-intensive etchings, which sometimes take up to six months to complete, often feature pastoral scenes of flowers and animals.
