Season Opener: "Signs of Life", Andreas Engel, Joel Haynes, and Mary Claire Hogan

Lauren Clark Fine Art presents the Annual Season Opener, May 25 through June 30, with "Signs of Life"—opening reception Saturday, May 27 from 5-7pm.

“Signs of Life” is a tribute to the naturalist’s favorite season, Spring. Featured artists are Andreas Engel, Joel Haynes, and Mary Claire Hogan. These three artists, versed in other areas as well, have coalesced around the wonders of nature in their respective ways; Engel with brilliant pen and ink drawings of vernal life, Hogan with her vibrant depictions of our favorite bugs in all their colorful glory, and Haynes with just the sweetest, gestural but lifelike renderings of our little friends the birds in their natural habitats.

Andreas Engel, "Highland Coos", pen and ink on paper, 12" x 9"

Mary Claire Hogan, "Trithemis aurora",
xylene-based marker and colored pencil on paper, 11" x 14"

Joel Haynes, "Black Throated Bushtit & Indigo Bunting",
mixed media on paper, 8" x 11"

These are small but mighty works by three dedicated artists living in our midst. What a wonderful way to start the season!

Please join us for an opening reception, Saturday, May 25, 5-7pm. Call or email the gallery for more information.
